Gautam Gambhir is an Indian international cricketer. Gambhir is one of the only Indian and four international players to have scored five centuries in a Test match. He is the only Indian batsman to have scored more than 300 runs in 4 consecutive Test series. Since February 2014, he is also the highest run scorer in T20 for India.

Gautam Gambhir Early Life:

Gautam Gambhir was born on 14 October 1981 in New Delhi to Deepak Gambhir, who owned a textile business and Seema Gambhir was his mother, who is a housewife. Gambhir also has a sister, Ekta, who is two years younger than him. Gambhir was adopted by his grandparents only 18 days after his birth and since then Gambhir has been living with him. Gambhir started playing cricket at the age of 10.

He completed his schooling from Modern School in New Delhi and graduated from Hindu College, Delhi University. In the 90s he lived at his uncle Pawan Gulati's house. Gambhir considered Gulati as his mentor from the beginning and always talked to him before important matches. Gambhir's coaches were Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy, Delhi's Sanjay Bhardwaj and Raju Tandon. For the first time in 2000, Gambhir was appointed at the National Cricket Academy.
