K. L. Rahul's original name is Kannur Lokesh Rahul, born on 18 April 1992 in Mangalore, Karnataka (India). N. Happened to Lokesh (Dean) and Rajeshwari.

K. L. Rahul completed his studies from Surathkal's NITK English Medium School and completed his degree from Bachelor of Commerce.

KL Rahul Career

K. L. Rahul played his first first-class match from Karnataka in 2010-11. In the same year in 2010, he also led India in the ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup. He first played in IPL in 2013 against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Rahul played his first Test match on 26 December 2014 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Rahul was playing in that match in place of Rohit Sharma. In that match, Rahul was taking over the reins of the Indian team as captain.

In the fourth Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground, he went to bat at his old number. He scored a stunning 110 after coming in to bat in the salute along with Murali Vijay. That century was Rahul's first international century.

He returned to India after batting in that Test series and scored his first triple century while playing in the first series from Karnataka. He became the first batsman from Karnataka to score a triple century.

He scored 188 runs in the last match played against Tamil Nadu. That year, he scored in the 2014-15 Ranji Trophy at an average of 93.11 in all 9 matches.

He was included in the Indian team for the Bangladesh tour in June 2015. But due to dengue, he could not go on a tour of Bangladesh on this occasion.

Rahul was named in India's last 15 players for 2016 Zimbabwe tour. He played his first ODI match against Zimbabwe in Harare Sports Club on 11 June 2016.

He scored a century in that match and he became the first batsman in India to score a century in the first match. On 18 June 2016, he played the first T20 match against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club. In that T20 match, Rahul was already out on the ball.

This is the first time in the history of the Indian team that for the first time, a batsman has been dismissed on the ball already in a T20 match.

In 2016, Rahul was included in the Indian team for a series of four Test matches. Playing in the second match, Rahul scored a brilliant 158 ​​runs in Jamaica. That was his best score at that time.

And at the same time, he became the first batsman from India to score a century against the West Indies in the first Test match. He had scored a century in only 46 balls in the first match of the T20 Mecho series played in America.

He was the second batsman to do such a feat and became the first batsman of India. As an opener, he has made a record of scoring a century in the first match of Tests and ODIs in his own name.

Lokesh Rahul has also recorded the fastest century in only 20 innings in the name of himself in all three formats of cricket. Earlier, Ahmed Shehzad made such a record in 76 innings.

Even after coming at number 4 in T20 history, he is the only player to score a century (110 not out).

In the 2016 IPL season, he was again seen playing towards the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
